Modern Freemasonry aims to build the interior Temple that is the core self of every individual. To do this, symbols are put at the disposition of the adherent, to allow each, by their own study, to create the necessary relationship for their own spiritual growth.

Freemasonry is an authentic initiatory society because it transmits a true initiation and conveys through its rituals and symbols, the teaching of the ancient Mystery Schools of which it is a trustee and heir.

Initiation confers a particular spiritual influence, actualized by the rites, whose effectiveness greatly surpasses the interpretation that is given and which finds its vastness in the legitimacy of its affiliation.

The “Sovereign Sanctuary International of the Egyptian Masonic Order, Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraim” (SSI E.M.O.A.P.R.M.M) is identified under the category of “Progressive Universal Freemasonry” also known as “Continental Freemasonry”, “Liberal Freemasonry”, or simply as the “Ancient Primitive Rites of Memphis-Misraim (APRMM)”. Unlike mainstream Freemasonry, generally referred to as “Regular” Freemasonry (those lodges who have aligned with the United Grand Lodge of England), the EMOAPRMM (Memphis-Misraim) accepts both men and women into it’s ranks and has a system of 99 Degrees rather than 33 Degrees. The EMOAPRMM also contains several appendant bodies (or orders) within its system, some of which are not included in Regular Masonry. As a modern representative of the Complete Esoteric Rites of Egyptian Freemasonry, the E.M.O.A.P.R.M.M may be considered a truly mystical Order in it’s study and practical application of the esoteric principles of the Masonic Craft. All who petition with sincerity and a desire for personal growth are welcome.
 
While remaining discreet in it’s Work, as an authentic and traditional initiatic Order, the EMOAPRMM holds amity with several masonic alliances. Two such alliances are the ‘Grand Alliance Maçonnique – Tracia ‘ (Grand Masonic Alliance – Tracia) and the ‘International Federation of Great Patriotic Masonic Powers’, which recognizes several Progressive Masonic obedience’s internationally.
